After years of teaching Kindergarten, it never fails that every spring a few parents will track me down and with fear and trembling ask, “Will my child be ready for Kindergarten in the fall?” This is a great question that weighs heavily on the hearts and minds of most parents wanting the best for their youngsters. This Video Series focuses on one of the seven Kindergarten Readiness Indicators- Strong Fine Motor Skills.
Louise Fougner, a veteran grammar school teacher, and Director of Student Academic Services at The Cambridge School, will present a number of activities to help your child improve their fine motor skills.
She will be focusing on the muscle groups used to hold a pencil and cut with scissors. We hope you find these to be a useful resource.
