Living Curriculum
We believe in the enormous influence of teachers. “Living Curriculum Teachers,” as we call them, are not just Christians, but mature, growing, passionate followers of Christ who desire to make a spiritual as well as academic impact.
Fully Integrated
Our teachers understand that biblical integration and academic excellence are inseparable. They see teaching as a high calling and are animated by the promise of Christian Classicism. Our Teachers are people who inspire students to be passionate about pleasing God with their lives and gifts.
Contagious Passion
Our teachers search for the best in students. They see healthy relationships with students as foundational to having meaningful influence. They believe in creating a nurturing environment, a place where every student has the opportunity to flourish.
Our teachers are positive, upbeat people, who search for the best in students. They see healthy relationships with students as foundational to having meaningful influence. They believe in creating a nurturing environment, a place where every student has the opportunity to flourish. They work with parents as partners. They motivate students to reach unwavering high standards. They understand that biblical integration and academic excellence are inseparable and they continue to learn themselves. They see teaching as a high calling and are animated by the promise of Christian Classicism. When it is all said and done, Living Curriculum Teachers are people who inspire students to be passionate about pleasing God with their lives and gifts.
Because The Cambridge School is committed to attracting and retaining gifted and qualified Living Curriculum Teachers and staff who demonstrate a love for God, for children, and for teaching, it spends a great deal of time recruiting and assessing potential educators. Once teachers are hired, we commit ourselves to deepening teacher understanding of Christian Classicism, and to training them in classical pedagogy, by having them observe at other schools, by sending them to national and regional training conferences, and by providing continual in-service learning opportunities and administrative support.
Pursuing Excellence
Our Classical and Christian tradition informs all that we do. While we pursue academics vigorously, we recognize that people are more than their knowledge, and we intentionally concern ourselves with the maturation of character. Learning isn’t merely about the what, but also about the who. At The Cambridge School we place a high value on effort and the pursuit of excellence, with special emphasis on the following:
